For that pair, i might challenge you to try a short row heel. I did the heel over 60% of my sock stitches instead of 50% which i think is used in that pattern.

I guess i just had to hear about it a hundred times before i finally decided to try it myself. I've been wanting to try the fish lips kiss heel for a while and i've finally got round to it with this pair of socks.

Knit cuff using 2×2 rib for 24 rows. The seascape socks are knit from the top down with a twisted rib cable pattern that is just on the front of the cuff and an allover stranded colorwork pattern.
